Creating and Strengthening Parent and Child work in Your Community
Susan Weber, Nancy Macalaster, Katherine Scharff
July 8 - 10, 2019 8am - 5:30pm (three days)
Tuition $485 (includes $50 late registration fee)
This is a three-day opportunity to gain insights and capacities for leading groups with parents, their infants and toddlers. This course will offer the insights of three master teachers who have been pioneers in this work. We will address these essential questions that every teacher explores: What rhythms and form meet the needs of families with children at various ages and developmental stages? What classroom furnishings and materials meet the needs of babies and toddlers at each stage? What songs and verses will best meet the families as the children grow? We will build a background for this work, including exploration of the essential aspects of these classes for families, the content and rhythm for a group, the needs of different developmental stages, and an introduction to the needs of parents of young children. You will also take home a new repertoire of verses, songs, and games including those of Wilma Ellersiek.
