Come join our community! Seacoast Waldorf School in Eliot, ME has an opening for an afternoon assistant teacher/extended day teacher, Monday-Friday, 12:00-6:00. Hourly wage, $18.00 with some benefits.

From 12-3:00, you will be working alongside another teacher in a kindergarten classroom. Duties include assisting with rest time, then outdoor afternoon playtime. The extended day program begins at 3:00. You will be with a small group of early childhood children indoors, providing a snack and care until their grown up picks them up. This program runs until 5:30, some children leaving earlier. After the children leave, there is time to tidy up and leave the classroom ready for the next day.

The ideal candidates would have love and patience for small children, possess Waldorf training or childcare-related college courses and/or have some previous experience working with children. The applicant should possess promptness, reliability, and good time management skills.
