Internship Opportunity

The internship position offers an in-depth, immersive education experience in early childhood. The successful candidate will be paid to work full time in a mentored teaching position in our year round childcare for children birth to three years old and receive:

  • 100% paid tuition for the Birth-to-Three Certificate  PLUS get paid while you are in class!

  • housing and utilities (private bedroom with shared bath and common space)

  • Nine credits in Early Childhood Education from an accredited university at no cost.

  • Up to 90% tuition paid towards an associates degree in early childhood

  • Opportunity to put your knowledge in practice

Details:  Deadline to apply is April 1. The intern typically starts in the classroom in June with a few weeks of observation before joining the Birth-to-Three program for the three weeks of training, joining the new cohort. (schedule here). Between class weeks with the certificate program the intern will work full time with mentorship in both the toddler and infant classrooms at Sophia's Hearth.

AGREEMENT

Students must have technological ability, own or have access to a computer, and have access to an email account. Some coursework requires use of a computer, so students must have basic word processing ability to be able to complete all assignments. Communication between the Institute and program students generally takes place via email.
