We will explore the higher-level righting reactions (midbrain level) and equilibrium reactions (cortical level): how to “see” them and recognize the importance of their role in integrating the primitive reflexes. One reflex which is an archetypal example of this phenomenon is the spinal galant. Videos and slides of infants and young children, as well as experiential activities, will be plentiful.

This workshop may be taken with or without your having attended any of Jane’s previous workshops on the primitive reflexes.
